The C.C.H.A. Open Futurity Form is now up on the Form page

      Welcome to the homepage of the Chautauqua Country Horsemen's Association. We are a family orientated club with classes for all ages of people & horses & all breeds are welcome here. The CCHA is a an Associate of the P.O.N.Y Association & follows their rules & regulations for our shows & conduct. Many changes have overcome the local show world, gas prices, people moving on to different things, breed shows, children growing up. But CCHA strives to provide a common ground for all levels of competition from beginner to pro to show their horses & place to enjoy that horse passion. Hopefully we will be able to continue to do so.
      Even tho our name is Chautauqua Country does not mean you have to be from N.Y. to be a member with us, we have members from N.Y. & PA. Our shows are open to the public & you do not have to be a member to show, but we would like you to become a member. Come join us.
       As a member of CCHA you are able to sign up for Points & Year End Awards with the P.O.N.Y. Assoc., you are also more than welcome to just become a member if you do not show horses but just enjoy being around them. Help is always needed at the shows, would you be able to donate an hour to help out or give someone working a break? Your generous help will be greatly appreciated. Someone is always available to help you if you have questions, just ask.
      Year End Point Awards include Grand & Reserve ribbons & plaque (can be changed from year to year) for each class along with ribbons for the placings of each exhibitor. Adding more to your list of Accomplishments, you can sign up for the "Mini Circuit" Awards. Along with those Awards are the:

(These are revolving Awards, they change hands from year to year)
Leonard Crandall Memorial High Point Weanling Award
Barney & Lena Weaver High Point Trophy
George A. Knapp Memorial Award
Sonnys Rosilita Memorial High Point Halter Horse Award
Dorothy Schell Horsemanship Awards for Queen & Princess
Natalie Chirstenson Memorial High Point Senior Game Rider
Virginia Myers Memorial High Point Youth Award
Wayne Schell/John Pearson Memorial High Point Pleasure Horse Award
And you thought you had nothing to strive for than just a ribbon! Think again. These awards are presented at the P.O.N.Y Association Banquet in November.
      The CCHA also hosts a Futurity at it's August Fall Classic show for Weanlings, Yearlings & Yearling Longe Line classes. You must be a member of CCHA to participate in this Futurity.
